Hotel Rosa Vipiteno Travel Brochure – 1935
1930s folding brochure for Hotel Rosa in Vipiteno, South Tyrol, Italy, combining colourful cover artwork credited to O. Haller with black-and-white photographs of the hotel and its Alpine surroundings. One cover illustration frames a town scene through a dark vaulted arch; the other presents the red-roofed hotel beneath green slopes and distant snowy peaks. Bold red and blue HOTEL ROSA lettering gives the covers a distinctive Art Deco character.
Inside, German and English promotional text introduces the hotel and its facilities, alongside atmospheric views of the fireplace lounge, vaulted hall and dining room. Further photographs show Castel Riva / Schloss Reifenstein and Val Ridanna / Ridnauntal. The printed text names J. u. H. Oberer as proprietors, while a photographic credit reads “Foto: Delfauro - Vipiteno”. The imprint on the final illustrated spread reads “Athesia Bolzano 695 36”.
An appealing piece for collectors of historic hotel advertising, South Tyrolean tourism and vintage Alpine travel art. The contrast between the colourful illustrated covers and photographic interiors offers a glimpse of how the hotel presented itself to travellers in the interwar period.
