Hotel Departamentos Casino Mar del Plata Luggage Label – 1940s

1940s luggage label for Hotel Departamentos Casino in Mar del Plata, Argentina. A muted turquoise background and rounded black border surround a monochrome illustration of the hotel building, bold lettering and a large cream panel with two blank lines for a traveller’s details. The architectural vignette emphasises the building’s tall façade, rows of windows and ground-level entrance.

The Spanish text gives the address as “Bv. Maritimo 2300” and advertises heating and parking with the wording “Calefaccion” and “Playa de estacionamiento”. Its practical layout and restrained colour palette offer a charming glimpse of Argentine seaside hotel advertising. A characterful piece for collectors of South American hotel labels, architectural graphics and historic travel ephemera, with visible wear around the edges and corners.
